ATM Stolen From Restaurant On Balboa Island

NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) – Authorities were investigating Friday after an ATM was stolen from a restaurant on Balboa Island in Newport Beach.

The machine was stolen from the Galley Cafe in the 800 block of Harbor Island Drive around 3:30 a.m., according to the Newport Beach Police Department.

Police placed crime tape around the restaurant, which sustained several broken windows during the theft.

Torn cable from the machine was also found outside.

It was unclear how many suspects were involved, but they were believed to have fled the scene in a white mini-van.
