3 People Dead After Shooting At Ontario Cemetery

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Three people have been killed in a shooting at an Ontario cemetery on Saturday.

The suspect shot two people before shooting himself.

The incident happened at Bellevue Cemetary in Ontario.

The Cemetery is located on the 1200 block of West G Street.

Police say it appears to be a murder-suicide.

Based on witness statements, the suspect was already at the cemetery waiting in his car.

"It's very unusual, obviously he [the suspect] knew that they were coming here this day, it's probably a significant date. It's the first time I've ever heard of it happening," Sargeant Jeff Higbee of the Ontario Police Department said.

The suspect got out of his car with a handgun and walked directly towards the victims, before quickly shooting both before turning the gun on himself.

The victim's, one male and one female, and suspect appeared to all be in their 60's.

Detectives say that all three are related by marraige, but they are not releasing the name of those involved until the family has been notified.
