Arson Suspect Accused Of Pouring Gas Through Ex-Girlfriend's Window

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com/AP) — Police say an arson suspect was arrested after he was spotted in a front yard pouring gasoline through a home's front window.

Investigators say the man was involved in a domestic dispute and his ex-girlfriend lived in the home in the 400 block of West 84th Street, along with her father.

The father told police he smelled something odd Tuesday afternoon and when he looked outside he saw the man with the gas can. The father says the suspect then tried to throw a cigarette through the window.

Police say the man, who had several warrants out for his arrest, was arrested on suspicion of attempted arson.

City fire investigators are investigating.
