Arson Investigation Underway At Banning High School

BANNING (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters contained a blaze that erupted at Banning High School on Thursday.

According to the Riverside County Fire Department, firefighters were sent shortly after 1 a.m. to the 100 block of West Westward Avenue for report of a fire alarm activation.

Upon their arrival to the school, crews located smoke showing from the administration building.

About 18 firefighters were able to extinguish two piles found burning inside the building.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe someone intentionally set fire to the high school.
