Arrests Made In Connection With Deadly Double Shooting In McDonald's Parking Lot

WILLOWBROOK (CBSLA.com) — Detectives say they have made two arrests in connection with a fatal double shooting that occurred in a McDonald's parking lot in unincorporated Los Angeles.

Angel Mares, 22, of Lawndale and Abraham Dorantes, 21, of Gardena were booked into the Century Sheriff's Station on suspicion of murder.

Both were being held in lieu of $1 million bail, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

The suspects are accused of fatally shooting two men in the 11800 block of Wilmington Avenue in Willowbrook just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The victims were identified by deputies as Jose Arragon, 19, of Compton and Andy Chicas, 21, of Long Beach.

Deputies said the victims had been gunned down following an argument inside the fast-food restaurant that continued into the parking lot.

Both were taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

An investigation is continuing.
