Arrest Made In Connection With Fatal Lomita Stabbing

LOMITA (CBSLA.com) — A 28-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Lomita, authorities said.

Sgt. Paul Creason of the Lomita sheriff's station said the woman was arrested about 11:15 a.m. Saturday without incident, according to City News Service.

The sergeant said the woman allegedly surrendered to authorities.

The attack happened about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 26000 block of South Western Avenue, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said in a written statement.

Following an "assault victim" call, deputies were dispatched to the scene.

When they arrived, they found 31 year-old Roderick Dunba'r on a sidewalk being treated by paramedics.

According to witness accounts, a disturbance was heard and the victim was found.

He had sustained stab wounds, authorities said.

Dunba'r was transported to an area hospital, where he died.

Authorities said the unidentified suspect has since been booked on suspicion of murder with bail set at $1 million.
