Argument Between 2 Boyle Heights Neighbors Escalates To Shootout

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — An argument between two Boyle Heights neighbors Friday night reportedly got out of hand.

At around 9 p.m., two men were arguing when one of them pulled out a gun at an apartment complex near Wabash Avenue and Dundas Street, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Eddie Ortiz said.

One man suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach and the other was treated for a bullet graze to the hand.

"Someone had a weapon and they're not copping to it," Ortiz said.

Officers say they weren't able to find the gun.
