Anti-Trump Protesters Shift Anger To President-Elect's Chief Strategist

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Protests in Downtown Los Angeles Wednesday night took the focus off Donald Trump and shifted to Steve Bannon, his appointee as chief White House strategist and senior counselor.

The gathering began at the steps of City Hall at around 7:30 p.m. and then moved peacefully down Spring Street.

Bannon, the former executive chairman at the right-wing website Breitbart News, is alleged to have ties to white supremacist groups.

The rally was represented by people of all ages.

"We would like the president-elect to pick a more qualified and less openly racist and hostile candidate," Kelly Cercone said.

Bannon is credited as being a major force behind Trump's upset victory in the presidential election.
