Angels Recall Efren Navarro

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- The Los Angeles Angels have recalled infielder Efren Navarro from Triple-A Salt Lake to provide extra depth on the bench the last two games before the All-Star break.

Navarro was recalled before Saturday's game against Texas.

The Angels optioned right-hander Drew Rucinski to Double-A Arkansas.

Navarro, a 50th-round pick by the Angels in the 2007 draft, is starting his third stint this season with the big league team.

In his only appearance with the Angels after getting called up Thursday, Rucinski allowed two runs and four hits in one inning against Texas that night.
