Angels Get Their Closer, Acquire Huston Street As Part Of 6-Player Trade With Padres

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Angels and San Diego Padres made a six-player trade Friday night to bring closer Huston Street to Anaheim, according to Fox Sports.

The Angels will acquire Padres closer Street and minor league right-handed pitcher Trevor Gott from Class AA for four minor leaguers.

The Angels will send shortstop Taylor Lindsey, RJ Alvarez, Jose Rondon and another player, who has yet to be revealed, to San Diego.

The Angels have been in a search for a solid closer after sending Ernesto Frieri to the Pittsburg Pirates.

Street, who was an National League All-Star this season, has a solid ERA at 1.09 with a 9.3K/9 so far this season with the Padres.

The deal will be made official after the Angels' Friday night game against the Mariners.
