Angels Fan Remains In Critical Condition After Being Beaten In Anaheim Stadium Parking Lot

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A 43-year-old man remains listed in critical condition Sunday after being assaulted in the Angel Stadium parking lot after a game earlier this week.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, the victim was beaten by three male suspects around 10:30 p.m. Friday after walking back to his vehicle from the game.

Officers said police units that were working the stadium parking lot were flagged down by several witnesses who said an altercation occurred and a man was unresponsive.

When they arrived, they found the Orange County resident knocked unconscious on the pavement.

According to police, the suspects allegedly assaulted the victim using their fists as no weapons were involved in the attack.

Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

At this time, there is no additional description of the suspects.

There is also no evidence that this incident started inside of the stadium.

The motive of this attack remains unclear, however, officers said there are no signs that this attack was gang related.

Police said if the suspects are arrested, they will face felony assault charges.
