Robbery Suspects Hold Convenience Store Clerk At Gunpoint In Anaheim

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday searched for three robbery suspects who held a convenience store clerk at gunpoint in Anaheim.

Officers were sent around 10 p.m. Thursday to the area of Brookhurst Street and Lincoln Avenue for report of a robbery with shots fired, according to police.

Upon their arrival, authorities learned an armed robbery took place at a small convenience store called Calimex Market.

A preliminary investigation revealed the store owner fired an unknown amount of bullets at the suspects as the fled from the store.

Police said no one inside the store sustained injuries during the robbery.

It remains unclear if the suspects were injured by gunfire.

The investigation is ongoing.
