Amy Schumer Leaves $1,000 Tip To 'Hamilton' Bartender

NEW YORK (CBSLA.com) — Amy Schumer showed a bartender at the Broadway show "Hamilton" that it's all about the Benjamins.

The comedian and actress left Sara Laursen a $1,000 tip on a $77 tab.

"From the bartenders @HamiltonMusical thank you @amyschumer for making our night," tweeted Laursen Saturday evening.

Schumer was at the show with a group of friends.

Laursen is an aspiring actress and comedian herself. She was stunned when she saw the tip.

Laursen said a man in Schumer's group came up to her, slipped her the credit card slip, and said, "Amy would like you to make sure that you get this tip."

"And I look down and it's $1,000! And my heart dropped," said Laursen. "I was so speechless."

Schumer previously was a bartender. She later jokingly tweeted: "This is really embarrassing but I've fallen on hard times and I need that money back."

"Hamilton" is coming to Los Angeles, where it will be for five months. According to the Los Angeles Times, the musical will appear at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood starting Aug. 11, 2017.
