Police Seek Gang Member In Abduction After Woman, Son Found In West Covina
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities issued an Amber Alert on Monday after a report of the abduction of a woman and her toddler son from South Los Angeles.
Police were looking for Luis Avalos, 22, a documented gang member, in the abduction of Sabrina Sanchez, 22, and their 1-year-old son. Sanchez and her son were located late Monday in the West Covina area, police said. While Sanchez reportedly was injured, the child was unharmed.
Avalos is described as 5-foot-6, 140 pounds, with a shaved head and brown eyes. He has the name "Sabrina" tattooed on his left cheek, a tattoo of red lips on the right side of his neck and a tattoo of a rosary around his neck.
A silver 2006 Chevrolet Impala believed to be Avalos' car was recovered by police late Monday night in the West Covina area.
