Amber Alert Issued For 4-Year-Old Boy

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  The CHP is asking for people to be on the lookout for a 4-year-old boy who was abducted Tuesday.

On Tuesday around 10 p.m., the boy -- identified as Sjon Singleton -- was abducted from Bishop, California in Inyo County, authorities said.

The boy is described as a light-skinned black, about 3 feet tall and 35 pounds. Singleton has black hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what clothing he was wearing at the time of his abduction.

Officials said the boy was taken by 43-year-old Angel Jacoba Schat. She is described as white, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 145 pounds. She is blonde with blue eyes. It is unknown what she was wearing at the time of the abduction.

Authorities said she was last seen driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado with a California license plate of 64632G1.

The alert was issued for the following counties: El Dorado, Alpine, Inyo, Mono, Nevada, Placer and Sierra.
