All Lanes Blocked On Southbound 405 In Hawthorne Due To Brush Fire

HAWTHORNE (CBSLA) -- All lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway were blocked at El Segundo Boulevard in Hawthorne on Sunday afternoon, CHP said.

A brush fire broke out nearby, causing a build-up of traffic.

Crews stopped the forward progress of the flames and at last check, one acre was burned.

No structural damages or injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
