Actor Zac Efron Reportedly Punched In Face By Homeless Man On Skid Row

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  Actor Zac Efron was reportedly punched in the face by a homeless man on Skid Row Sunday.

TMZ reports the 26-year-old Efron and his bodyguard broke down near Temple Street and the 110 Freeway.

Police would only confirm that two men had an altercation with at least three transients.

No injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

Police said they were called to the area around 2:25 a.m.

TMZ quoted the bodyguard as saying he and Efron were just tooling around when their car ran out of gas. Efron allegedly threw a bottle out the window and some transients believed he was throwing the bottle at them.

The bodyguard (TMZ agreed not to use his name) said he was attacked by a shank-like device. He said Efron came to his aid and saved his life.

Efron's friends recently spoke to PEOPLE Magazine about the actor's stint in rehab.

The actor said he broke his jaw last year after falling in his home.
