Actor John Stamos Arrested In Beverly Hills On Suspicion Of DUI

BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Actor John Stamos went from "Full House" to the big house Friday evening.

Beverly Hills Police confirm the handsome sitcom and former soap star was arrested in Beverly Hills around 7:45 p.m.

He was reportedly taken to a hospital with a medical condition. It was determined that he was driving under the influence, officials said.

Stamos, who turned 52 in August, was pulled over on Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Drive.

The actor recently announced he was going to be part of a "Full House" reboot called "Fuller House." The popular sitcom ran on ABC from 1987-1995. Stamos also starred on NBC's "ER" from 2005-2009. His other credits include "Entourage" (where he played himself), "Glee," ABC's "Galavant" and "The New Normal."

He's also known for guest gigging on the drums with the Beach Boys.

Perennial favorite on People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful or Most Eligible Bachelors lists, Stamos was formerly married to supermodel Rebecca Romijn from 1998 - 2005.

Stamos' mother Loretta died in September at the age of 75. He has said in recent interviews that her loss left him "brokenhearted" and that she was the love of his life. He wrote on Instagram, "She had enough love to fuel a small country."

The native of Cypress who got his big break on ABC's "General Hospital" in 1982 playing rocker Blackie Parrish is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 11 at the LAX Courthouse.
