Actor Drake Bell Arrested In Glendale On Suspicion Of DUI

GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say actor Drake Bell was arrested this week on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Tahnee Lightfoot with the Glendale Police Department says Bell was initially stopped allegedly for lane straddling and driving at an unsafe speed.

The traffic stop was made at the intersection of Doran Street and San Fernando Road about 2:18 a.m. Monday.

When he was contacted by officers, Lightfoot says police detected an odor of alcohol.

Police said Bell, who was alone at the time, did not pass a field sobriety test and was arrested.

The 29-year-old was released Tuesday after posting bail, which had been set at $20,000.

Bell is known for his roles in the "Ultimate Superman", "Superhero Movie", "High Fidelity", and "Jerry Maguire," according to IMDb.com.
