A preliminary 2.1-magnitude earthquake struck near San Joaquin Hills in Orange County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake's epicenter was recorded at 3.1 miles from San Joaquin Hills.

It is not yet known if there are reports of injuries or damage.
