91 Freeway Partially Reopens Following Deadly Big Rig Crash

BUENA PARK (CBSLA.com) — One person is dead following a multi-vehicle crash that prompted the closure of the eastbound 91 Freeway in Buena Park.

The accident involving two tractor trailers and two cars took place near the Knott Street exit just before midnight on Wednesday.

Three people were injured, one fatally, after a truck stalled and was struck by a second big rig.

The jaws of life were used to extricate one of the drivers from the wreckage, but he later died at a hospital.

The conditions of the other two victims were not released.

As of 9 a.m., the right lane remained blocked.
