9 Injured In Solo-Vehicle Crash In Trabuco Canyon

TRABUCO CANYON (CBSLA.com) — Nine people from the same family were hospitalized Friday night after their SUV overturned into a creek bed in Trabuco Canyon.

Three of the victims, including a 4-year-old boy, were in critical condition, Orange County Fire Authority officials said. The other critical patients were a 47-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man.

The single-vehicle collision was reported at 9:55 p.m. on Trabuco Creek Road, about a quarter-mile from Trabuco Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Twenty three firefighters treated the victims at the scene before they were transported.

The victims hospitalized with minor injuries were three boys, ages 14, 8 and 4; two women ages 25 and 26; and a 40-year-old man.

 

Authorities said the cause of the accident was under investigation.
