89-Year-Old Man Missing In Colton Found By Good Samaritan

COLTON (CBSLA.com)  —  An 89-year-old man missing in Colton has been found safe and sound by a Good Samaritan, police said.

At approximately 3 p.m. Thursday, family members called Colton Police to say that Touma Ibrahim Ghazal had not returned home after leaving the family residence this morning.

Family members say Ghazal's normal routine is to board a bus and visit different businesses on Washington Street between Cooley and Mt. Vernon Avenue in the City of Colton.

His family says he usually returns home by noon but Thursday, after it's believed he stopped at a Rite Aid to purchase some sunglasses, Ghazal went missing.

Police searched hospitals, bus companies, shuttles, the Coroner's Officer, medical transports to no avail.

While a search was in progress (including a blood hound and aviation units searching by air) a Good Samaritan located Ghazal in Waterman Canyon and called family members mentioned on a police flyer.
