VALENCIA (CBSLA.com)  —   More than ten people were injured -- half of them critically -- in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Valencia.

One of the vehicles involved was a limousine and officials said several of the injured were in the limo.

The accident was reported just after 8:15 p.m. on the 126 Freeway.

Witnesses said the limo crashed into two other vehicles while attempting to exit the freeway near Newhall Ranch Road.

Eastbound Newhall Ranch Road was closed at the 5 Freeway while authorities investigated the crash.

Initial reports from the scene said four or five people were injured but officials later updated the incident report to say 11 people were injured, at least five of them had critical injuries.

The ages and genders of the injured was not available.

It was unclear where the limo was going or coming from.
