74-Year-Old Woman With Alzheimer's Reported Missing In Harbor Gateway Area

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are trying to find a 74-year-old woman who suffers from Alzheimer's disease after her family reported her missing from the Harbor Gateway area.

Lois Washington was last seen between 4 and 5 p.m. Tuesday boarding a Metro bus at the corner of Artesia Boulevard and Vermont Avenue, the LAPD reported. The bus number was listed as 344.

Relatives are especially concerned because Washington suffers from other physical ailments that require medical attention, in addition to Alzheimer's, police said.

Washington was described as African-American, 5-foot-11 and around 170 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes. She boarded the bus wearing a colorful jacket, black shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts was asked to contact the LAPD's Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800.
