73-Year-Old NoHo Man Wins $2,500 A Week For Next 25 Years

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) —  A 73-year-old North Hollywood man has won $2,500 a week for the next 25 years.

California Lottery officials say Jesus Jacinto could have pocketed a total of $3.25 million for playing and winning the $5 Lucky Life Scratcher.

Jacinto has decided, instead, to take the money upfront in a lump sum payout of about $1.9 million.

Jacinto says he's been playing scratchers for years and that he enjoys all of the games.

The retiree purchased his winning ticket at The Liquor Center (5424 Laurel Canyon Boulevard.)

After realizing he won the big prize, Jacinto says he celebrated in a unique way.

"I celebrated by buying more tickets," he told lottery officials.

Jacinto plans on buying a house for his family and starting a family business.
