Search for Missing Santa Clarita Woman Over

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — A Santa Clarita woman, who was reported missing for four days, has been found safe and sound.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed Kristen Ghilardi's whereabouts Tuesday based on several public sightings of her at various local businesses in the Ventura and Northridge areas.

According to deputies, the 29-year-old did not appear to be in distress and seemed to be doing fine. They determined the single mother left the Santa Clarita Valley voluntarily, but don't know why she did not notify her family and friends about her well-being.

Deputies said Ghilardi was reported missing Friday, Aug. 28.  Her family said she was last seen last Wednesday, Aug. 26 after getting a phone call from a homeless man named Patrick.
