7-Eleven Clerk Who May Have Sold Record-Winning Powerball Ticket Beams With Pride

CHINO HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Hundreds of people flocked to the 7-Eleven where the record-winning Powerball ticket was sold and the clerk says he's very proud and excited.

"It's my pleasure, I am very proud, and I am really excited too," said the store worker, who said he didn't know who won.

"I have no idea because [the] last three days, very crazy. It's all big line around the store every day, yeah," he said.

California Lottery officials say the ticket sold at 4092 Chino Hills Parkway in Chino Hills matched all six numbers in the $1.5 billion draw.

The ticket was among at least three jackpot-winning tickets to have been sold, the Associated Press reported, citing lottery officials. Other winning tickets were sold in Florida and Tennessee.

The store is expected to also make about $1 million for selling the winning ticket.
