$63M SuperLotto Plus Ticket Still Unclaimed 3 Months After Drawing

CHATSWORTH (CBSLA.com) — Lottery officials say a SuperLotto Plus ticket worth $63 million remains unclaimed three months later.

The winning ticket, which won $63 million in an Aug. 8 drawing, was sold at a 7-Eleven at 20871 Lassen Street in Chatsworth. The winning numbers were 46-1-33-30-16 and the Mega number was 24.

Lottery officials say they are not aware of whether the winning ticket's buyer was a local or someone simply passing through the area.

The owner of the winning ticket should immediately sign the back of the ticket in ink and keep it in a safe place before it can be brought to a Lottery District Office, of which the closest to Chatsworth is at 16525 Sherman Way in Van Nuys. The winner has 180 days from the date of draw to claim the jackpot.

If the tickets remains unclaimed on Feb. 4, 2016, it would become the largest California Lottery prize to do so. The previous record is an unclaimed $28.5 million SuperLotto Plus ticket sold in Alameda County back in 2003, lottery officials said.

The 7-Eleven that sold the winning ticket will still receive a $315,000 bonus even if the owner of the ticket does not ultimately come forward.
