61-Year-Old Man Gunned Down While Standing On Sidewalk In Unincorporated LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say they're continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a 61-year-old man in an incorporated area in Los Angeles.
The victim was standing on the sidewalk in front of a home when deputies say the suspects began shooting at him, according to preliminary information.
The incident unfolded Monday in the 1400 block of East 78th Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
Deputies believe the suspects began shooting from the southeast corner of 78th Street and Parmelee Avenue, according to the LASD.
They fled in an unknown direction.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering gunshot wounds to the upper torso.
