7 Juvenile Inmates Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Freeway In NoHo

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Crews Monday are on the scene of a multi-vehicle collision involving two sheriff's inmate buses and three vehicles.

The crash occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on the southbound 170 Freeway at Magnolia Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities explained there were inmates traveling on board the buses when the incident occurred.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, seven juvenile inmates are being treated for minor injuries. Three people who traveled in the involved vehicles also sustained minor injuries.

At this time, only one lane on the southbound side of the freeway remains open.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
