6 Injured In Multi-Car Crash On 60 Freeway

SOUTH EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — All lanes of the eastbound 60 Freeway were blocked Friday following a multi-car crash in South El Monte.

A Sig Alert was issued around 5:20 a.m. following the crash at the Santa Anita Avenue exit, the California Highway Patrol said.

It was unclear how the crash occurred, but authorities said as many as four vehicles were involved and six people were injured.

The victims were taken to County-USC Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

All eastbound lanes were reopened just after 6:34 a.m., according to the CHP.
