6 Angelenos Injured By Fireworks On Fourth Of July

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say there were about three dozen fireworks-related incidents in the city of Los Angeles on the Fourth of July, with six of them involving injuries.

The incidents covered the 24-hour period from midnight to midnight, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said.

In the eight-hour period from midnight to 8 a.m. Tuesday alone, there were half a dozen other fireworks-related calls, he said.

The number of fireworks-related incidents this year was about "on par" with previous years, Scott said.
