$50,000 Reward Approved In Connection With Fatal South L.A. Hit-And-Run

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles City Council approved a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction in a deadly hit-and-run case.

The reward motion introduced by Councilmember Bernard Parks was voted on during Tuesday's meeting.

"I'm not a great speaker and I'm not trying to be one. I'm just pleading for my child and that's all," Debra Holt, the victim's mother, said during her emotional plea.

Holt's daughter, Treva Arnold, was killed in South Los Angeles while crossing the intersection of Denker and Slauson avenues on Jan. 4.

Parks said Arnold was the third hit-and-run death that's occurred in the same area during the past 15 months.

Arnold was 39 years old.
