5-Star Linebacker Decommits From USC Amidst Chaos

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 5-star linebacker in the 2016 recruiting class has de-committed from USC amidst the Steve Sarkisian scandal.

Mique Juarez, the No. 2 overall ranked linebacker in the country in the 2016 class, was the Trojans highest-ranked commit in 2016.

Juarez attends North Torrance High School, and is the second player that USC has lost in the past two days.

Linebacker Daelin Hayes announced his decommitment on Sunday after USC athletic director announced that Head Coach Steve Sarkisian would be taking an indefinite leave of absence.

Juarez said on Twitter, "At this time my family and I feel that it is in my best interest to de-commit from USC and open up my recruitment process, I'd like to thank the coaching staff for everything they've done and hope the best for them."
