5 Residents Displaced After Car Slams Into Moreno Valley Home

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Five Moreno Valley residents were displaced after their home was struck by a car Friday evening, leaving the driver injured, authorities said.

The residents of the home in the 25000 block of Bower Street were not there at the time of the crash, according to the Riverside County Fire Department, but are unable to remain in the house due to structural damage.

The crash was reported at 6:48 p.m. Friday, near Persimmon Road, a block off both Cottonwood Avenue and Perris Boulevard.

The American Red Cross was brought in to assist the two adults and three children who live at the home.

The vehicle's driver was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with unspecified injuries, according to fire officials.
