5 Injured In Long Beach Shooting

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A man remained listed in critical and serious condition Monday for injuries sustained in a shooting.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers were sent around 9:40 p.m. Sunday to the 200 block of West 14th Street regarding a shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers located three adult males and one juvenile male who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

All of the victims were transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries — one critical, three non-life threatening — sustained in the shooting.

Officers said a fifth victim was located at a hospital outside the City of Long Beach, with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police said the motive for the shooting may possibly be gang-related.
