5 Injured -- 1 Seriously -- In Santa Monica Fire

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Five people were injured, one seriously, in a Santa Monica fire on Sunday.

The seriously injured is a 89-year-old man.

Three of the injured are police officers who suffered smoke inhalation. They were checked out by paramedics and are fine, officials said.

Another victim is also expected to be okay. That victim's age, gender and possible relation to the 89-year-old man is unknown.

The fire was located in a combination business and residential building located in the 1000 block of Montana Avenue.
