Eastbound 10 Freeway In Downtown LA Reopened After 5-Car Pileup

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  The Santa Monica (10) Freeway was reopened Thursday after a SigAlert was issued for a 5-car pileup at Santa Fe Avenue.

A five-car pileup at about 5:36 a.m. prompted authorities to shut down four lanes, with only the left lane open to traffic.

Tow trucks were on the scene, but authorities also had to clean up a fuel spill.

The roadway was cleared about an hour later.
