405 Freeway Reopens In Hawthorne Following Fiery Crash

HAWTHORNE (CBSLA.com) — All lanes of the 405 Freeway reopened Sunday following a fiery crash between two vehicles.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 4:00 a.m. near the Los Angeles International Airport, and subsequently shut down the southbound lanes of the freeway.

KCAL9's Joy Benedict explained one woman was injured, and was transported for non-life threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
