NB 405 Fwy In Sherman Oaks Reopened After Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — A multi-vehicle injury crash shut down the northbound 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks early Monday morning.

The six-vehicle accident was reported shortly after 1:45 a.m. at Sepulveda Boulevard just south of the 101 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officials shut down all lanes after one person was ejected and another was trapped. Two lanes were reopened around 3 a.m. and the SigAlert was canceled opening up all lanes just after 5:20 a.m.

At least four people were transported to local hospitals with major injuries.

The cause of the crash was unknown.
