4 Killed, 3 Wounded In Several Separate Shootings Across LA-Area

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Four people were killed and three others were wounded in several separate shootings across Southern California overnight.

The first was reported just after 10 p.m. Saturday. Investigators say an unidentified man died at an area hospital after being shot on 122nd Street and Willowbrook Avenue in Willowbrook.

The second incident occurred in Inglewood where a man was shot and killed on Doty Avenue and 113th Street just after 11 p.m. Saturday.

In Arlington Heights, another man died after being shot. The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. at Washington Boulevard and Arlington Avenue. Investigators identified the victim as a 45-year-old man, possibly a transient. Police said the man was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

In Van Nuys, one man was killed and a second was wounded when shots were fired. The incident happened in the 6700 block of Kester Avenue just before 2 a.m. Police said one of the men died at the scene. The second was reported to be in stable condition.

Elsewhere, in Long Beach, two men were shot in the 2300 block of Eucalytus Avenue. Both were taken to an area hospital. Their current conditions were not known.
