3 Hurt After SUV Plows Through Fence, Ends Up On Porch Of South LA Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Several people were hurt Friday after a sport utility vehicle plowed through a fence and across the front yard of a South Los Angeles home.

The crash happened just before 7 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of East 116th Street near Alameda Boulevard.

Police said three people were injured, two of which were pedestrians. Both pedestrians sustained fractured bones.

The third victim was a 10-year-old girl, who was inside the SUV. She suffered minor injuries.

No one inside the home was injured.

The driver of the SUV told police she was struck by another car that left the scene. That vehicle was described as possibly a white Tahoe.

After impact, the driver said she lost control and hit the pedestrians.

The LAPD said the incident was being investigated as a hit-and-run based on statements made by the driver, as well as witness accounts.
