LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck swore in a new class of officers Thursday -- a group of 30 teenagers battling cancer.

It was the highlight of a week-long trip that will not soon be forgotten.

"It's amazing here," one of the teens told KCAL9's Dave Lopez. "I do not want this week to end."
