60 Mini Shelties Rescued From Fire-Damaged House Available For Adoption Monday

JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA.com)  —  As many as 60 dogs, most of them miniature Shelties or Sheltie mixes, will be available starting Monday, authorities said.

The dogs will be available at the Western Riverside County-City Animal Shelter.

The shelter -- open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. M-F and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays -- is located at 6851 Van Buren Boulevard, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509; (951) 358-7387.

After a fire, Riverside County Animal Services impounded 61 dogs from a property in Riverside County, just outside the city of Riverside.

The owner of the dogs surrendered ownership of the canines due to damage to the property.

Officials said all of the dogs were healthy.
