3 Wanted In Stabbing Near Westminster Bus Stop

WESTMINSTER (CBSLA.com) — Police are looking for three suspects who stabbed a 22-year-old man in a mid-afternoon attack near a Westminster bus stop.

The victim, whose name was not released, was stabbed several times. He remains hospitalized, but is expected to survive, Westminster police Detective Norma Vasquez said.

The victim got into a fight with the three other men, who police believe are gang members, about 4 p.m. Monday at Goldenwest Street and Bolsa Avenue, Vasquez said.

The victim got into a car that left the scene before police arrived, but officers tracked down the vehicle a short time later and called paramedics, Vasquez said.

Since it was rush hour at a busy intersection near a well-traveled bus stop, investigators hope witnesses will step forward to help track down the suspects, Vasquez said.

Anyone with information can call detectives at (714) 548-3207. Anonymous tips can be called in to Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS. (847-6227).
