3 Teens Admit Involvement In Westfield Culver City Mall Attack

CULVER CITY (CBSLA.com) — Three teenagers have admitted they were involved in the assault and robbery of a 60-year-old woman at Westfield Culver City shopping mall earlier this week.

The victim was walking to her vehicle in the mall's parking structure about 3:50 p.m. Monday when she was attacked by two young girls, initially described to be 9 and 15. The suspects then took the woman's property and fled.

On Wednesday, Culver City police circulated photos of two individuals possibly involved in the crime, which promoted three girls to turn themselves in to officials where they attend school.

The girls, described to be 14, 14 and 16, were subsequently taken into custody by police.

No other information was made available.
