3 Students Arrested For Allegedly Making Criminal Threats Against Peers At Lake Elsinore HS

LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — Several Temescal Canyon High School students were in custody Tuesday after allegedly making criminal threats to other students at the school.

Rumors surfaced on social media over the weekend about a shooting threat made against the school, located on El Toro Road in Lake Elsinore, district spokesman Mark Dennis said.

Investigators served search warrants and collected evidence, which led them to arrest three students who were booked at Juvenile Hall on Monday.

Extra security will remain on campus as the investigation was ongoing.

"The Lake Elsinore Police Department and Lake Elsinore Unified School District is committed to the safety of those who work and attend our schools," police said in a statement.

Anyone with information regarding the incident was asked to contact Master Investigator Tony Pelato at the Lake Elsinore Police Dept. at (951)245-3300.
