3 Sealed Urns Containing Cremated Human Remains Left At Church In El Monte

EL MONTE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say three sealed urns were abandoned at a church in El Monte and police are searching for anyone related to the deceased.

The urns contain the cremated remains of Erna Jean Muldrow, Rodney Crosby Muldrow and Brian Earl Muldrow and were left at the Nativity Church on Tyler Avenue Tuesday morning.

After finding the urns, church staff received a call from a person who said the urns had been recovered from a storage container that the individual had purchased at an auction.

No identifying information was provided.

Officers were called and took the urns.

Police would like to reunite the remains of the deceased with loved ones and say the deceased were cremated by the Heritage Crematory and the Pomona Cemetery Association.

Anyone with more information was asked to call the El Monte Police Department at (626) 580-2114.
