3 People Arrested For Murder Of Man Found In Burning Long Beach Motor Home

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Three people are in custody in connection with the killing of a man whose body was found in a burning motor home in Long Beach, police said Friday.

Diana Sequen, 20, Jose Alfredo Zolorza, 19, and David Romero, 28, all of Long Beach, were all arrested this week in connection with the killing of Thomas Taylor, 61. All three suspects are being held on $1 million bail.

Taylor's body was found about 12:15 a.m. on Jan. 28 after firefighters put out a fire in a motor home parked in the 500 block of West 17th Street, Long Beach police officials said.

Sequen was arrested Monday and is scheduled to be arraigned on a murder charge on Feb. 20.

Zolorza was arrested Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to the murder charge at his arraignment Thursday. Zolorza is scheduled to appear in court next on Feb. 14.

Romero, who was arrested Wednesday, has not yet been charged as of Friday morning.

"The motive for the murder appears to be an ongoing dispute," police said. "The murder involved arson, and it appears the suspects used the arson as an attempt to destroy evidence related to this crime."
